LiveBlood Terms of Use
Effective date: Upon approval by the Oriental Mindoro Blood Council Version: 1.0
These terms govern your use of the LiveBlood mobile app and website. By creating an account, you agree to these terms and to the LiveBlood Privacy Notice. LiveBlood is operated by Oriental Mindoro Blood Council ("the Council") and maintained by its developer.
1. What LiveBlood does
LiveBlood helps you:
- Check whether you meet the basic requirements to donate blood
- Find blood donation drives near you in Oriental Mindoro
- See which blood types are running low
- Receive alerts about drives, shortages, and your eligibility results
2. LiveBlood is not medical advice
- The eligibility check is a screening guide based on rules set by the Council. It does not diagnose any condition.
- Blood service staff at the donation site make the final decision on whether you donate, after their own screening.
- For medical concerns, consult a doctor.
3. LiveBlood is not for emergencies
Do not use LiveBlood to request blood in an emergency. Contact the hospital directly or call 911. Blood availability shown in the app comes from hospital updates and may be delayed.
4. Who may use LiveBlood
- Donor accounts are for people aged 16 and above.
- Donors aged 16 and 17 need the written consent of a parent or guardian before donating.
- Staff accounts are created only by the Council's administrator for authorized staff.
5. Your account
- Give true, complete, and current information. False health answers put you and blood recipients at risk.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- One account per person.
- Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else used your account.
6. Voluntary donation
Blood donation through LiveBlood is voluntary and unpaid, in line with the National Blood Services Act of 1994 (RA 7719). LiveBlood does not allow the buying or selling of blood.
7. Rules of use
You agree not to:
- Create accounts for other people or under a false identity
- Give false information in the health questionnaire
- Try to access data, accounts, or parts of the system you are not authorized to use

9. Ownership
The LiveBlood name, logo, design, and software belong to the Oriental Mindoro Blood Council and its developer, Jhon Michael V. Gillado, as set out in their written agreement. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission.
10. Service availability
We work to keep LiveBlood running and accurate, but we do not guarantee it is free of errors or always available. We may update, pause, or change features, and we announce major changes in the app.
11. Suspension and closing accounts
- You may delete your account at any time in the app under Profile, Settings, then Privacy and data.

12. Limitation of liability
To the extent Philippine law allows, the Council and the developer are not liable for losses caused by delays in information, system downtime, or decisions made based on app content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that Philippine law does not allow us to limit.
